It's a neat battle on paper, but unfortunately it can be cheesed quite easily into firing the energy ball only. The missile launcher usually pops out too late into the fight and the boss is already defeated before it can fire, but if it does, it's not a half bad attack. It can also fire multiple energy balls at once or a laser, however I wished they used different telegraphs to show which attack would come first. If you stand far away, it usually will fire a laser ball at you over and over again, however it may also attack with a machine gun attack. The Mega Laser Turret is a cool idea for a final boss but it's execution is mixed. # 12 - Mega Laser Turret - Metal Slug Fierce Battle (Mobile/Java) Even some of the Java final bosses at least had ways of attacking you on directly while this fight drags on without much challenge. As it is, the Dai-Manji acts more like the final boss than this, which is a shame. If the ship fired more lasers and had more attacks, it would have ranked much higher. They were fun with the Dai-Manji as they had less HP, while this variation is tedious. The only other attack is releasing U.F.O's with excessive HP which makes them annoying to destroy. It fires a small laser beam straight into the ground, and since you can hit the boss anywhere up on the screen, you'll easily stand out of it's way. This sounds great, but the actual fight is disappointing. After dealing with a good boss fight with the Dai-Manji spaceship, you take on a massive alien battleship with even allies helping you out, battling it out in the massive, blazing environment. The Rugname had the potential to be a fantastic final boss. I know this isn't a popular opinion, but hear me out. The Rugname had lots of potential, but it's attack patterns are very lacking. Devoid of a lot of that charm found in final bosses and certainly does not deserve a final boss status. It doesn't even aim at you, only statically downwards on the floor. It lacks creativity and it spams fire without much thought put into it. Removing that forced game over and reducing the lag would have made it a bearable boss, at best. Unfortunately, getting a death here resets the game to the start which really drags the fight down. It sounds great on paper, but it can be a real hassle to tackle this boss down. This boss has plenty of turrets, grenades and drones to defend itself. Very laggy and the game over resetting you to the start really drag the fight down. Quite intimidating but the overall battle is not good. # 14 - Rocket Control Room - Metal Slug Mobile Impact 5 Java Mobile Games with their own unique final bosses.Metal Slug 1 to 7/XX's final bosses (including Advance and First/Second Mission Neo Geo Pocket).Feel free to comment below, and as always, it's just my opinion.
